Organic Farm and Edible Forest Tour
A guided walking tour with Tamara and Gerardo, owners of Three Seeds Organic Farm and Eco-Education Rainforest Camp. Learn about organic farming, composting and harvesting, and taste fresh tropical fruits and foods in season from the farm and garden.
Division River Swimming & Picnic Tour
Guided walk to the best swimming hole in the area where you can enjoy a morning in the water, basking in the warm tropical sun and enjoying a traditional picnic lunch on the riverbank. Please note that this activity is only available Nov-Aug (Sept/Oct the river gets too big to swim in. Visitors are also free to go to the river on their own at any time during their stay.
Visit nearby communities and authentic rainforest villages (hiking or on horseback)
Horseback ride or hike along the dirt road to the local community of El Llano or El Brujo, enjoying spectacular rainforest and farm views as you go. A guide can show you around the school, plaza, church, store, clinic, etc. and introduce you to local residents. You can have lunch with a local family or enjoy a picnic lunch along the river. Some minimal horseback riding experience is required.
Sports
Three Seeds Farm has a multi-use sports field available for soccer, baseball, volleyball, football, and other sports and games. There is also a playground for the young and young at heart. This field is freely available for the use of our groups during daylight hours.
Buenaventura Rainforest Park Adventures
Right behind Three Seeds is a 160-acre protected rainforest park with many kilometers of hiking trails, a large yoga-studio/temple for groups and a mountain-top campground. Depending on the time of year, Three Seeds offers special access to this protected area through guided medicinal plant walks, hikes to hidden waterfalls and natural water slides, and overnight adventures at the rainforest campground. Please inquire if these activities are of interest to your group. Only for children ages 10 and up due to the steep terrain and endurance required.
Sacred Mountain Old Growth Rainforest Adventure
A guided adventure into one of the last remaining old-growth riparian areas on the banks of the Savegre River. This adventure is perfect for younger visitors since it does not require a long trek uphill. Without having to hike too far from Three Seeds, visitors can experience the magic of the huge 500+ year old trees, some of them hollowed out by the notorious matapalo vine. While on this hike, you will learn about the plants, trees and animals that inhabit this unique forest, which some say is one of the most biodiverse on the planet. A picnic lunch on the banks of the Division River will round out this family-friendly adventure.
